Borough of Hanover SSAP

The Borough of Hanover's Safe Streets Action Plan (SSAP) is a proactive initiative aimed at making the Borough's roadways safer and reducing traffic-related fatalities and serious injuries throughout the Borough. This plan aligns with national safety goals established by the U.S. Department of Transportation's National Roadway Safety Strategy and the Vision Zero Initiatives, which aim to eliminate traffic deaths and serious injuries for all users of the road.

The Safety Action Plan combines data analysis, technical research, and input from stakeholders and the public to identify key safety challenges. It will recommend actionable strategies and projects to improve road safety and ensure safe travel for drivers, cyclists, pedestrians, and transit users across the Borough.

The Borough of Hanover has received federal Safe Streets for All (SS4A) funding to support the development of the SSAP.
