Public Engagement Meeting
The meeting will include an introduction to the study and its goals followed by workshop activities that include multiple, interactive ‘stations’ at which citizens may provide input in various ways:
- What/Why are the Problems? Help identify broad, area-wide issues to program/policy issues
- Where Are the Problems? Help identify where safety problems and concerns are located
- When Are Problems Occurring? Help identify the times of day and night of greatest concern.
In all efforts, attendees will be encouraged to share their ideas for potential solutions, which will be carefully considered as the study progresses.
“We want people to feel heard,” said Borough officials. “Community input is an important part of understanding the transportation safety network as a whole, and we take that feedback seriously.” With that in mind, an interpreter will be available on site to assist Spanish-speaking and Portuguese-speaking attendees.
